Radha presents at Technology Conference and Expo

Radha presents Developing Mobile Apps for State Government at the 2015 Technology Conference and Expo.

Users increasingly expect to be able to do virtually everything on a mobile device that they can do on a laptop, if not more. However, mobile app development is still in its infancy stages in state government. While of the government-to-consumer devices can be delivered via a mobile device, several items need to be considered first including security, native app vs. mobile web or hybrid, cross platform compatibility, development approach and ongoing support. Radha will explore the current mobile landscape within state government agencies as well as provide best practices, guidelines and approaches when developing mobile apps for state government.

Radha wins contract with Oregon's State Fire Marshall Office for the Community Right to Know Project

Radha Corp, an national information technology firm, announced today that the Oregon State Fire Marshall Office (OSFM) has selected Radha to assist in requirements definition and deployment of a online application supporting the Community Right to Know Act (CR2K) application.

The Oregon Community Right to Know (CR2K) and Protection Act mandates the Agency to survey business and government facilities about the presence of hazardous substances at their locations. Currently there are over 12,600 facilities being surveyed annually. This information is being collected, reported and completed manually by the facilities; data is then validated and entered by Agency staff into an MS Access database. The database currently supports only limited internal use and thereby reduces the ability for an Emergency Responder and Emergency Planner online access to this data. The goal of this project is to create a usable online interface that will provide a simple user interface with real-time access to data to internal agency staff, external parties such as emergency responders and the general public.

Radha wins contract with Oregon State Police

Radha Corp, an national information technology firm, announced today that the Oregon State Police (OSP) has selected Radha to assist in the development of a business case and identify options to implement a statewide School Safety Tip-Line.

school safety tip-line system

The Oregon Task Force on School Safety (OTFSS) was established in 2014 with House Bill 4087. It was established as a 14 member-working group with representatives from the legislature, the governor's office, as well as the education and public safety communities to examine steps to improve safety and security at schools across the state. This legislation was inspired by the active shooter incident at Clackamah Town Center on December 11, 2012. The OTFSS reviewed several systems and programs to improve Oregon school safety and determined that a School Safety Tip-line would be a key system in deterring and de-escalating any student threat to themselves or to others.

The goal of the School Safety Tip-line system is to allow students, teachers and parents use voice, text, phone, photos and videos to confidentially transmit messages and information regarding potential harmful or criminal acts against students, school employees or school property.
