Radha awarded contract from South Carolina Dept. of Employment and Workforce to develop and deploy smartphone app

Radha was awarded a contract to design, develop and deploy the first smarphone app to enable claimants to file weekly unemployment claims via a smartphone. In addition to providing a high level of self-service for claimants, the app will also provide dynamic messaging, GPS integration, automated alerts and automatic improper payment detection. The South Carolina Dept. of Employment and Workforce will be the first agency in the country to deploy such an app. 

South Carolina selects Radha to develop smartphone app for claimants to file weekly claims

The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) is responsible for paying unemployment insurance benefits, collecting unemployment taxes, helping people find jobs, matching businesses with qualified candidates, and collecting and disseminating state/federal employment statistics.

DEW, one of 16 cabinet agencies, is a partner in the state’s workforce system. This includes SC Works centers, satellite offices and Connection Points in 12 local workforce investment areas, where DEW and its partners provide services to meet the needs of the state’s businesses, jobseekers and those looking to further their careers.
